Raising awareness, recruiting mentors, and developing our future leaders
Every summer Mortenson is thrilled to welcome high school interns from the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE) Mentor Program into each of our 8 regional offices.
The nationwide mentor program pairs students with ACE industry professionals. These students then work on projects that provide hands-on experience in solving the types of design, engineering, and construction challenges industry professionals confront every day. They experience the flow of a construction project first-hand.
A mentor program for change
The ACE Mentor Program relies on mentor volunteers and firms who work in the architecture, construction, and engineering industry to step forward. Our mentors commit to sharing their passion for the industry and offer a unique chance to help students discover and develop new skills and learn about rewarding careers in construction.
By introducing high-school students to the wide range of career opportunities in the building design and construction industry, we continue to create that excitement within the next generation.

ACE is comprised of affiliates that serve high-school-age youth within a certain city or region across the nation. Each affiliate has a board of directors, a local coordinator, and a combination of architecture, construction, and engineering firms - all committed to the mission of the ACE Mentor Program.
