Congratulations to our 12th and Market Apartment team – the project is running along and its launch was marked with a ceremonial groundbreaking on January 17, 2017. Representatives from Mortenson Development, Greystar, HQ Capital and SERA Architects joined together to celebrate the project milestone, braving uncharacteristically icy weather in Portland to travel to the job-site.

Dan Mehls, vice president and general manager for Mortenson Construction, kicked-off the groundbreaking with some words of wisdom and positivity:

“This is a very high profile piece of real estate as it relates to downtown Portland and to PSU. We don’t take lightly our obligation to build something of enduring quality that is deserving of this great site and the city of Portland.

…I believe this building reflects our commitment to quality and to sustainability and I can tell you with a degree of pride and a forward-looking motivation, that I think this building is a reflection of Mortenson’s long-term commitment to Portland and the surrounding community.”

The job is set to complete in March of 2018.
