3D modeling is just one of the ways we help our customers visualize future spaces. So when Ben Goetter, Director of Project Development for Mortenson’s Milwaukee Operations, saw a local organization that could benefit from 3D modeling, he offered Mortenson’s help. Goetter serves on the board for the Milwaukee Excellence Charter School, a new 6 – 12 grade school opening in fall 2016.

Since in person tours are not yet available, our team created the next best thing through 3D modeling. Shaun Hester, Integrated Construction Manager, and Mortenson intern Justin Holbach created a virtual tour of the future school to show to prospective students and parents. “The tour brought the school to life in ways we could not imagine,” said Maurice Thomas, Founder and Executive Director of Milwaukee Excellence.

The virtual tour was featured during the “12 Months of Excellence” event where the school showcases its progress to donors, supporters, and the greater Milwaukee Community on a monthly basis. This past month’s event was held at the Miller Inn at MillerCoors Brewery where 45 attendees were able to view the school during the virtual tour created by Mortenson.
