Mortenson Supports Fair and Free Trade in U.S. Solar Industry

Mortenson is proud to employ American workers in the solar industry. Suniva, a bankrupt, Chinese-owned solar panel manufacturer, is currently petitioning the International Trade Commission to place tariffs on imported solar panels. This petition, if successful, is expected to halt 66 percent of U.S. solar installations over the next five years and would devastate the families of 88,000 American solar workers whose jobs would be lost.

The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) is challenging this ill-advised petition and they need your support. We encourage you to learn more and express your concerns with Suniva’s petition and the negative impact of imposing high tariffs and minimum prices on solar cells and panels.
