Service Above Self: Dennis Jordan Recognized with Rotary Club Community Service Award

Senior Business Development Manager, Dennis Jordan has been recognized by the Rotary Club of Cedar Rapids with a 2020 Community Service Award.


The Community Service Award is presented to club members with extensive public service in the Cedar Rapids/Marion area; who have experience serving on volunteer boards at the local, state and/or national level; and who demonstrate the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self” in their daily lives.

Dennis is a dedicated philanthropist and donates his time and talents to the United Way, Iowa State University Extension & Outreach, the Kirkwood Foundation, Master Builders of Iowa, Iowa Association of Business & Industry, Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa, Grant Wood Chapter of the American Red Cross, and Prospect Meadows.

The Rotary Club of Cedar Rapids is among the top 25 largest Rotary clubs in the United States. It is the oldest and largest club in the Cedar Rapids area, with over 300 members. Dennis has been a Rotarian for the past 25 years and has served as President of the Cedar Rapids club; on the District 5970 Membership Committee; as Assistant District Governor; and currently co-chairs the Rotary Action Group.

The award included a $1,000 prize to be donated to the charity of the recipient’s choice. Dennis directed his award donation to the RAG4Clubfoot Group, whose purpose is to mobilize Rotarians and provide global leadership to support timely Ponseti Method treatment and appropriate care for children born with clubfoot.
