Mortenson provided integrated development and construction services for the new 19,600 square-foot emergency department addition to the existing 180,000 square foot WestHealth campus. The new facility is staffed with doctors affiliated with Abbott Northwestern and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This project is part of Allina Health’s strategy to provide quality care closer to home and at a lower cost, ultimately reducing the need for hospital visits. The new addition rounds out WestHealth's broad range of services, including primary care, pharmacy, outpatient surgery, imaging, specialty care and urgent care.
