The U.S. Coast Guard boathouse replacement project involved the replacement of a U.S. Coast Guard facility destroyed by fire in the summer of 2010. The first floor of the 4,885 square foot boathouse includes a waterfront boat ramp, boat maintenance bay, shop, parts and tool storage, telecom room, and a mechanical/electrical room. The second floor provides offices, restrooms, locker and shower rooms, and gear storage.

Built on reinforced concrete piles and cast-in-place concrete grade beams, the building consists of reinforced CMU walls faced with fiber cement shingles, precast reinforced concrete floor planks, structural steel roof trusses, and a pitched roof with asphalt shingles. The scope of work also included site utilities, concrete boat ramp, docks, and fencing. The project is designed to achieve LEED certification.
