Jeff Banister serves as the Design Phase Executive for our Portland operating group. Jeff holds 38 years of construction experience, with a unique and varied resume that includes corporate office buildings, elementary schools, high schools and higher education facilities, healthcare, infrastructure, parking structures, retail & entertainment, sports, casinos, warehouses, food service, airport projects, correctional facilities, cultural venues, civic, federal, military and advanced manufacturing buildings. He has worked from coast to coast with experience both on project sites as well as in the office and has served in a variety of roles including project management, estimating, preconstruction and design phase services. Jeff holds a record of successful procurement and project delivery service, including hard bid, negotiated, CM/GC, design-build and progressive design-build projects. This varied experience in all aspects of our industry provide a solid foundation for his leadership for your project. He graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Construction Science.

Jeff has been an active member and leader of the Design Build Institute of America. He has served as president of DBIA’s Mid-America Region as well as the Oregon Chapter of DBIA and is extremely proud of his role in the mentoring and development of numerous individuals who continue to advance and evolve as leaders in this great industry. Jeff and his wife enjoy travel and exploring the great culinary adventures available in Portland. When not researching and adding to his wine collection, he is busy with his two Labrador retrievers and an ever changing population of chickens.
